Giselle Rushford

SGT. AT ARMS PARLIAMENTARIAN

Giselle created and managed diversity programs, projects and processes for a large department in a Fortune 500 company. Some of the programs included a national Diversity Council that managed the activities, training and development of council members including workshops; newsletter, website, diversity video, and recognition program for those who promote and support diversity.  The company had adopted this diversity model throughout the corporation.   She mentored and coached colleagues in career and personal development, team building, verbal and written communication skills and cross-functional relationships

Before and during retirement she dedicated her time to serving the community.  Some of the awards she received:

  • National Federation of Filipino American Association (NaFFAA) Eagle Award for Leadership, 2019 and 2022.

  • One of 100 Asians to Know in Colorado, 2021

  • Minoru Yasui Community Volunteer Award, 2018.   

  • 100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the World Award™ for 2016.  

  • Asian American Hero Award by the Asian Avenue Magazine, 2016.

  • Outstanding Leadership Award, Filipino American Community of Colorado, 2002 & 2008.

  • Certificate of Appreciation of Leadership, Philippine American Society of Colorado (PASCO), 2005.

  • Individual Achievement Award presented by Asian American Association for Advancement--AT&T (4A), 2002. 

Giselle Rushford emigrated from the Philippines to the US over 50 years ago.  She completed her undergraduate studies in Finance at the Golden Gate University in San Francisco and completed majority of her graduate studies in Management and Computer Information Systems at Regis University in Denver.  She is an APAWLI (Asian Pacific Women's Leadership Institute) Fellow, AT&T and a Loden Institute Certified Diversity Facilitator.
